Quality
commitment
I
doubt
there is any
company
operating
today that
wouldn’t say
quality is a
key value of
their business.
Consumers
demand
quality—and
rightly so.
Simi Valley Hospital
isn’t
alone, then, in our commitment
to quality. But for a health care
organization like us, the concept
of quality takes on a special
signi cance. It’s very personal, it is
top-of-mind for our patients and
their loved ones, and it can mean
the di erence between a positive
outcome and a less positive one.
Our pursuit of quality permeates
everything we do here at Simi
Valley Hospital, and it is gratifying
to see the fruits of those e orts,
such as the wonderful messages
of thanks from our patients and
our rising scores in our quality
measures. We were particularly
honored to have been ranked
as the safest hospital in Ventura
County by a
Consumer Reports
study earlier this year (see page 4).
All of our e orts toward
quality ultimately come back to
Simi Valley Hospital’s mission:
to demonstrate God’s love by
providing exceptional service and
quality care to meet the physical,
mental and spiritual needs of
our community.

hospital’s new Wood Ranch Imaging
Center is set to open this summer at
124 Macaw Lane.
At its opening, the 1,800-square-
foot center will o er all-digital CT
scanning and X-ray, as well as blood
drawing and specimen collection
and drop-o for lab tests. Later, EKG
and ultrasound will be added to the
menu of services.
“Traditionally, people have been
expected to come to the hospital for all
of their services,” said Brian Ruditsky,
director of Business Development at
Simi Valley Hospital. “However, with
busy schedules, tra c and so forth,
it’s o en hard to do that if you live any
distance away from the hospital. Our
goal is to deliver services right where
our community needs them, and this
new imaging center is one example of
how we’re ful lling that goal.”
e combination of services
available at the Wood Ranch Imaging
Center will mean that many people
will be able to complete all of their
diagnostic testing in a single visit.
“For instance, a person who needs
to do testing before their surgery can
get a chest X-ray, EKG and blood
draw all at the same time, in the same
location,” Ruditsky said.
