Putting
quality rst
THE
broad array of health care services at Simi
Valley Hospital encompasses quite a variety of activities:
Babies are born, surgeries are done, blood is drawn
and analyzed, X-rays and other diagnostic tests are
completed, heart attack and stroke patients are given
emergency care, nutritionally precise meals are planned
and prepared, care is provided right in patients’ own
homes, and so forth.
As diverse as these activities are, they are united by
a common focus: the commitment to quality care. It is
a commitment that is built into Simi Valley Hospital’s
mission statement, which in turn drives not only all
planning and decision-making at the hospital but also
the everyday actions of the hospital team.
“We’re going through an exciting time in the hospital’s
history when we’re constructing and renovating facilities
and adding new services, yet in all of that activity, we
never lose sight of the central focus of
building quality into everything we do
here,” said Kim Milstien, president and
CEO of Simi Valley Hospital. “Nothing
is more important to us than ensuring
that every patient has a quality
experience during their every contact
with the hospital.”
Demonstrations of quality
For a commitment to quality to have real value,
however, there have to be visible results. Simi Valley

The mission of Simi Valley
Hospital is to demonstrate God’s
love by providing exceptional
